Filmmaker Ramenahalli Jagannatha believes that online streaming platforms are a valuable resource for emerging directors. He explains that these platforms have provided a significant source of revenue, enabling some films to reach audiences that might not have been possible in traditional cinema settings. Despite this, Jagannatha notes that many people still prefer the cinematic experience of watching a movie in theaters. Currently preparing for his next project, "Theertharoopa Thandeyavarige," which will be a family drama set in Kalasa, Kudremukh, and Mudigere, Jagannatha emphasizes his focus on storytelling through emotions. Drawing inspiration from literature, especially the works of authors like Poornachandra Tejaswi, SL Bhyrappa, and Shivaram Karanth, he highlights the challenge of translating characters from written narratives to visual storytelling. Additionally, Jagannatha explains the time-consuming nature of filmmaking, attributing the delays in new projects to the need for careful planning and continuous refinement throughout the creative process.
